Welcome to the mindfield!
Weathervane Jesus was formed in 1994 in British Columbia, Canada. They took their name from a Tragically Hip song titled "Wheat Kings" (from the album 'Fully Completely). Their first album,"Rituals", was recorded in Fernando's basement on half inch tape. Fernando wrote all of the music and played every instrument on the album except the bass parts. They were played by the late, great, Rod (Snoot) Cassidy (he of the growing weird-how's about that metabolic rate fame. The second album "Gdungaboat" was a combination of some basement recording and full studio sound. It contains the last of the songs that Rod Cassidy played on bass and is dedicated to his memory. In September we're beginning work on our next project which we hope will have an accompanying DVD. Don't ask us what the project will be about because: a)it hasn't revealed itself yet. b)we are older now and have no illusions of fame c)so we don't give shit it'll arrive as it should. I'll do my best to keep you updated regularly and should have some new pics to upload shortly. Until then disregard most of what you hear about the world around you and take care of yourselves. SJC.
